PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP: VIDEO EDITOR, PRODUCTION ASSISTANT & PHOTOGRAPHER

Learn about every step of production at a small commercial photo & video studio with assignments in a variety of industries including community development, music and arts, higher education, fashion and product marketing.

Welcome to De Miranda Productions, a creative studio producing brand photo libraries, documentary films, and marketing content for organizations like Washington University, the Delmar Loop, Regional Arts Commission, and ArtBeat St. Louis. We share a space with a larger commercial photography studio, FK Studio, in a beautiful 8000 square foot space home to several of St. Louis’s most accomplished photographers.

We are looking for a part-time video editor that would be interested in also assisting on set several times a month.

Responsibilities for this paid internship position would be divided between video and photo editing and on-set production assistance. The role is adaptable to the interests of the intern and can lead to further employment.

  • Can think from the perspective of the client.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Video and Photo Editor

  • organizing projects with studio conventions

  • creating social media marketing for the studio and clients

  • creating video deliverables

  • culling, and editing photo assets

Production and Photo Assistant

  • manage handheld lighting & fill discs

  • setting up and breaking down c-stands, a variety of constant and photo lights, running and organizing cables.

  • manage camera equipment

  • manage tethering to monitor

  • shooting Behind The Scenes footage and photos

  • adjusting props on set

  • running errands

Second Photographer/videographer

  • Second shoot for events

  • Cull and edit photos

  • shoot BTS on set

  • create original work
